Collab Cubicles start of 2022, we shared posts all about how we prepared our business for the new year. Moving to a new office room and joining many businesses that are currently working colleagues in Barcelona is one of our first assignments.

Many things need to be considered before our steps, from locations to facilities, as well as community and social activities offered. After Coworking in the city for almost a year in our selection base, Collab Cubicles, we thought we would use our experience to explore many Coworking benefits.

Since their evolution in India back in 2005, thanks to the forward-thinking of software engineer Pritam Shing, coworking spaces have adapted over time and have begun to meet the day-to-day needs of workers.

At present they usually offer a variety of services and facilities above the usual workspace, from common areas to events, cafeterias to exercise classes!

Advantages of Coworking Community Building:

• Coworking is about playing your typical office into a collective workspace that is well connected for individuals from various backgrounds. These spaces, thus, are filled with potential contacts and connections in personal and professional respect.

• Professionally, this encourages you to think outside the box and utilize individual knowledge and skills outside your bubbles that can have substantial effects on the project. In a personal capacity, friendship blooms from team to team to make a more positive and friendly work environment.

• After almost a year in Collab Cubicles, we have produced a large professional network and made great friendships along the way. In brushing our social skills, we have also strengthened the relationship between members of our team.

There’s something incredibly uplifting about working in an environment that thrives on communication and innovation.

Size and Flexibility.

The office is wide and, because this is a workspace, we have the flexibility to add or reduce the size of our workspace easily. This, of course, has a positive impact on the financial side of running a business, as traditional costs are still converted into variables.

Coworking not only gives us flexibility in terms of our office size but also offers a flexible work model. Team members don't just occupy a room on the table. Everyone has the freedom to work from anywhere them at that time; This helps maximize their productivity and creativity levels.

There are times when we might want to get out and concentrate only on our screen from the comfort of our own place or there are other examples where we might want to work from a more communal space where we can occupy various cold rooms or sofas.

Sometimes we might just want to feel a little more open to the elements and work between the Mediterranean wind on the terrace overlooking the beach.

Clients.

• When you work in your own separate office, it's easy to forget the needs of your visiting clients. It's not always possible to make space for them.

• However, when our clients visit us now, they can also find space on our table and they also have access to communal areas and facilities, so they can also work from one of the comfortable sofas or tucked on the terrace.

• Our clients, which you can imagine, we're encouraged to visit us and felt more embedded in our team, with many choosing to work directly with us from our office as opposed to them!

Privacy and space for experimentation.

Apart from all the space mentioned above, we also have the option to have a private office and meeting room.

We currently have two offices. One of them is the multi-purpose room that we use as a meeting room and conference. It was also where we planned all our projects. This office might be more similar to traditional views about what an office should be.

However, our second office is where pleasure happens!

We refer to it as our laboratory. This is where we want to do more ideas out there, from the electric skateboard for our ongoing Microgreens project. This is where we keep our 3D printers where we print new parts for our drones and also function as storage for our paddleboard boards that we use in warmer months.

Creativity.

• It is very important to stimulate our creativity, expand our imagination and add to our inspiration pool. With a variety of conversations and locations, our workspace takes care of all that.

• Whether we do brainstorm ideas in the cafeteria, comment on the latest news developments, attending many communal or relaxed events while playing video games in the laboratory, we continue to feed our creativity.

• Our environment has been very valuable for our creative process over the past year.

Facilities and Social Activities.

• If you are still unsure, this is an overview of the facilities and activities that we access here at Collab Cubicles.

• Well equipped, modern work area, with minimalist wood décor, which does not distract from our work.

• The public area (such as a cold space) where we can change our work environment to look for inspiration.

• Rooms to arrange events and workshops, whether they use us, our own co-worker or the attic.

• The impressive cafeteria and restaurant serve nutritious food - perfect for coffee and relaxing meetings.

• The beachfront location allows us to come out with our skateboard or take a walk along the sand or use our standing day-up.

• So, I know I've mentioned the terrace several times but you might be interested in knowing that now is home to a pool that we can use when the atmosphere is hit!

In addition to the facilities offered, Collab Cubicles also runs the event schedule and activities we have, whether it is a post-work beer and chat on the terrace, a communal yoga class to help us relax, or even a boxing class if we feel very excited!

In Conclusion.

After almost a year of coworking in Bangalore, we still really loved the experience. The more we think about it, the things are more positive to say about it.

Working from a working partner's Space allows us to concentrate on very important aspects of our work.

Our team members work in what we feel is the ideal work environment, free of negative disturbances, which enables them to develop both personally and professionally. In giving us so much freedom and flexibility, our team has developed the most suitable routine for them, resulting in an increased level of productivity and creativity, ensuring that everyone is happy to work every day.

Friendship has bloomed, like having innovative ideas, and we are happy to see where Co-working's future takes us.
